Behavior Modification Training with Focused Choice Dog training
If your dog has developed an unwanted behavior, we need to implement a behavior modification plan that teaches your dog an alternative to the unwanted behavior and helps minimize the negative effects on your relationship with your dog.
Here are a few behaviors that we work with
- Impulse control issues; excessive prey drive
- Lack of confidence/fearfulness around other dogs or people
- Reactivity/leash frustration-barking, growling when passing others while on walk
- Fearfulness around men or children
- Attention seeking with inappropiate behaviors-barking or pawing at you.
- Resource Guarding
- Noise Reactivity
- React to visitors entering property-mailman, visitors
Don’t enjoy walking your dog? You don’t have to live with bad leash manners! Let me take the leash and help your dog learn good manners while walking on leash. For reactive dogs, this does not happen overnight and requires a commitment to change the way your dog feels about the “trigger” (cause of reaction). See the DAY TRAINING TAB for more info!
